Environmental Profile
Davy Process Technology has a head office in London and its Technology Centre in Stockton-on-Tees. The company’s business is chemical process technology licensing and this is supported by research and development. Its environmental profile entails two dimensions, namely; the effect on the environment of operations in the UK at its two locations and the environmental impact of the operation of the numerous process technologies that it has licensed around the world. This profile is descriptive and it describes but does not attempt to quantify environmental impact. To put this into context, by the time current projects in China are completed this nation alone will manufacture five million tonnes per annum of chemical commodity products using the company’s proprietary process technologies. Davy Process Technology has developed a portfolio of technologies which fall into two categories. They are sustainable processes, which are beneficial to the environment compared to alternatives that use non-renewable resources, and processes that minimise environmental impact.
