Process Validation and Catalyst Testing
We carry out our research and development work 24 hrs per day, 7 days per week, thus enabling true validation of continuous processes, data capture is also continuous via DCS. This capability allows accurate fully integrated catalyst life testing with full operational recycles using commercially representative catalysts. Thorough validation of our processes at commercially representative scales and conditions enables us to provide a high degree of certainty to our clients; management of risk is always of a very high priority in our work.
Converting Batch to Continuous Processes
We have many years experience in developing continuous chemical processes and we utilise this expertise by working with clients in Fine, Speciality and Pharmaceutical Industries to convert conventional batch processes to continuous processes.
We recognise that this can be a significant step change for many of our clients hence we put a significant emphasis on managing risk by applying well established and understood reactor concepts. We have experience of systems with all standard physical and chemical conditions including:
- One, two and three phase systems
- Homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis
- Rigorous thermal control for both exothermic and endothermic reactions
- Pressures from vacuum to 100 bar
