Davy Process Technology considers effective safety, health and environment management to be of prime importance to its business and is committed to continual improvement in performance in these areas. The Management Committee places the highest priority on the proper integration of SHE into all business activities and will ensure that:
- All applicable legislation, government guidelines and industrial codes of practice are met
- Environmental issues associated with individual projects are addressed
- Procedures for SHE in design are implemented and assistance is provided as required
- Responsibilities for assuring satisfactory SHE aspects in design are maintained and developed
- High standards of SHE management are an integral part of the effective management of the business.
Quality Management
Davy Process Technology operates at two sites in London and in Stockton in the UK. They are registered as ISO 9001:2000 compliant, by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) for the UK sites. We maintain an extensive system of operating networks and standards, known collectively as the Company Operating Manual. These documents describe the practices necessary to control activities and quality and are stored electronically on our internal computer network. We implement and maintain a Quality Management System to ensure that quality standards are continually met and improved. In essence, this incorporates the following: Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, Quality Control, Quality Assurance and an Audit Programme.
The President is responsible for assuring quality in all aspects of Company Operations. Policies, procedures and other requirements to ensure that quality standards are set and met are detailed in the Company Operating Manual. Part of this manual, relating to Corporate Governance, contains the key governing documentation. The responsibility for the implementation, operation and maintenance of the Quality System and the co-ordination of all quality related activities within Davy Process Technology's UK sites is delegated to the Quality Manager who reports in this role directly to the President. In addition to regular reporting of quality issues to the President, the Quality Manager convenes twice yearly review meetings of the company's Integrated Management System with the top management to evaluate overall company performance, and a separate annual review meeting to summarise the findings of the audit programme.
